Images That are Too Spicy 🌶️ For Social Media
by Nashville Boudoir Photographer Caley King Newberry
I’ve been battling social media for a decade now — trying to normalize women’s bodies and showcase the incredible peace and discovery women find through boudoir sessions. While I understand there needs to be restrictions to what can be accessed on social media, the censorship of women’s bodies has gotten out of control. Lately, you can’t even post a woman lying down, even when she’s completely covered. So, here I am, dusting off the old blog.
Celebrating the Art of Nude Boudoir Photography
At Caley Newberry Studios, my boudoir photo shoots are about celebrating confidence, self-expression, and body empowerment. Most importantly, I want you to find peace around how you feel in your own skin. While social media guidelines prevent me from sharing some of the more intimate and artistic nude images I create, I’m excited to offer a closer look here on the blog.
The Power of Nude Photography
Nude boudoir sessions allow my clients to connect with their bodies in a raw, beautiful, and personal way. It’s about embracing vulnerability, pushing boundaries, and recognizing that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and forms. Every curve, angle, and shadow tells a story of your choice to accept yourself as you are. The result is a collection of images that are deeply personal, intimate, and often transformative for my clients. You leave your nude photo shoot on a high, knowing that you did something scary and not only survived, but love the results that remind you how strong you felt in your own skin.
A Safe and Supportive Environment
I understand that deciding to take part in a nude boudoir session is a deeply personal choice. At Caley Newberry Studios, I provide a safe, private, and supportive environment to help each client feel comfortable and confident. I work closely with you to ensure the session reflects your vision, whether that’s something soft and sensual, bold and artistic, or anywhere in between.
Why I Don’t Post These Images on Social Media
Due to the sensitive nature of these images and social media’s strict guidelines, I’m unable to share nude photographs on platforms like Instagram or Facebook. However, I believe these images deserve to be seen and celebrated for their artistic value. Here on the blog, I’m able to showcase the beauty of nude photography in a respectful and professional way, while keeping my Instagram account, however restricted it may be. :)
Your Boudoir Experience, Your Way
Boudoir is an incredibly personal experience, and I want each session to be unique to you. Whether you're booking a session to celebrate a personal milestone, as a gift for a partner, or simply to embrace your own body, I’ll work with you to create a comfortable and empowering experience that results in stunning, timeless images. Whether you do an entirely nude boudoir session or choose ten minutes or bravery at the very end of your session, you can rest assured knowing that you’ll have privacy and respect every step of the way and we’ll be in constant communication of how much you want to show and how much you want me to see.
I think I’ve written enough text here for you to understand that I’m about to post some of my favorite nude images so, you know, if you’re at work, maybe come back later or make sure no one’s sneaking up behind you. :)
I’ve told clients for years to not worry about wardrobe. If you show up with no outfits at all, as some of them women in these sessions did, we’ll still get an entire gallery of stunning photos that you’d be proud to see every day. Many of these images are featured on their bathroom or bedroom walls, and many of them never dreamed they’d feel brave enough to do that when they stepped in the studio.
